 The SSPD, Victim Advocate division is currently looking for volunteers. There are a variety of opportunities from filling out paperwork, community outreach, case management, attending court hearings and answering phones. No experience is necessary. All help is needed. Information on how to prevent a sexual assault is available at their office.

A tentative schedule for Eagle Mountain’s Pony Express Days is listed on the city’s website, www.eaglemountaincity.com, under the Pony Express Days 2010 link. Registration for the city’s baby contest and boutique, carnival vendors, softball tournament, Family Health and Wellness Fair vendors, 3-on-3 basketball tournament, parade and talent showcase are available there.

The Saratoga Springs Fire Department is offering free Heart Saver CPR classes for the residents of the city. Classes will be: Thursday, May 27, from 7:00 p.m.-10:00 p.m. or Thursday, July 22, from 7:00 p.m.-10:00 p.m. The Saratoga Springs Fire Department will also be holding a babysitting class for the residents of the city. This course will cover CPR, first aid, home safety, fire safety, basic child care etc. Classes will be held at the Saratoga Springs Fire Department, 995 West 1200 North. Burn permits are being issued to citizens of Saratoga Springs. Burn season as allowed by Utah County will continue through April 15. Burn permits can be obtained from the Saratoga Springs Fire Department at 995 West 1200 North from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Monday through Saturday through April 15. The cost of a permit is $10 (no credit cards accepted).

 

The Saratoga Springs Civic Events Committee is putting on a Triathlon. Registration for this event is now. The race will take place on June 5. Visit www.saratoga-springs.net for more details on the race and to register.

Westlake Thunder youth football registration begins April 15. Spring training camps will be held in April and May. For more information, dates and to register online visit www.westlakethunder.com.

Eagle Mountain area seniors’ aerobics has been discontinued. Watch for more information. April 26 there will be a “Beauty and the Beast” activity at 5:00 at the City Center. There will be makeovers for women and horse shoes for men. There will be Bunco the 2nd Thursday at 1:00 p.m., Bingo the 3rd Monday at 5:00 p.m., craft class the 2nd Monday (time to be arranged), MahJong the 3rd Thursday at noon, and Canasta the 4th Thursday at noon. All residents ages 55 and over are invited to attend the monthly activities, including those from Saratoga Springs and Cedar Fort.
