Eagle Mountain Arts Con
The Eagle Mountain Arts Alliance has held a writing workshop in the fall for the last four years. This year, we are going to represent all the arts, and have changed our name to Eagle Mountain Arts Con. The workshop will take place on September 22 at Black Ridge Elementary in Eagle Mountain, with a writing boot camp on the evening of the September 21.

Automotive repair shop on path to EM City Center
During the July 9 Eagle Mountain Planning Commission meeting, the Planning Commission approved a plan for a new Automotive Repair shop in Eagle Mountain's City Center area. The proposal will now move to the City Council for discussion and ultimately approval or disapproval from the council.

Cedar Fort/Fairfield to create joint fire department
CEDAR FORT -- Cedar Fort Mayor David Gustin proposed a joint fire department agreement between Cedar Fort and Fairfield at the Cedar Fort Town Council meeting on May 24, 2018. The Mayor said that he has already met with Fairfield Mayor Brad Gurney to assess both towns' needs and begin the process of unifying the fire department into a joint venture. Gustin said that before proceeding further he wanted the Town Council's input on the proposal.

Bring your children for story time on any Tuesday at either 10:30 or 11:00 a.m. They can also participate in new mini-events each Wednesday at 10:30 a.m.
Every Thursday, except the July 19, there are special classes for teenagers ages 11-18. The teens can experiment with new art styles, including acrylics, watercolors, and oil paintings.

Camp Floyd Manager Mark Trotter Retires

Outfitted in his striking blue Civil War-era Union Army uniform, Mark Trotter became the face of Camp Floyd State Park during his nearly eighteen years as Park Manager. His photo is still featured on the Camp Floyd section of the Utah State Parks website. Trotter retired on April 1, 2018, taking with him a multitude of memories and leaving a legacy of educational programs and activities that share the unique history of Camp Floyd.

Fiscal Impact of an Eagle Mountain Data Center
Sweetwater Industrial Park is something that is going to be talked about for a while in Eagle Mountain, and has the potential to reshape how the tech community thinks about Eagle Mountain.
